Zach Sise: His Biggest Supporter, His Brother

Zach Sise: His Biggest Supporter, His Brother

For the second year in a row, Zach Sise has podiumed for championship points for the Dirt2Media American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products. In 2021, he finished runner-up and in 2022, he finished third. Either way, Zach’s quick to credit his brother Trevor for his success in his racing career.

(For more on Trevor, read “Trevor Sise: American Crate All-Star Series Champion”.)

“When I got old enough to race go-karts, [Trevor] had already five years of experience when I started,” said Zach, 22, of Knoxville, Tennessee. “So, I leaned on him for help. The same way with big cars. It has definitely helped me a lot.”

This year, Zach Sise returned to his family-owned team, where Trevor and Zach share resources.

“We try to keep enough spares so that we have at least one for both of us,” Zach said. “We try to run together [at races] so we can help each other.”

Sometimes, though, even the closest of brothers can quarrel when they fight for the same piece of real estate on the track.

“We’ve only got into it once, and that was this year,” said Zach of racing his brother. “We probably slid each other 20 times at Bulls Gap [in Tennessee, at Volunteer Speedway]. With one to go, coming to the checkered, a lapped car took both of us out. [It was] very heated — he was mad at me. We’re good now.”

The Dirt2Media American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products begins its season on April 1 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. The bonus race will pay $5,000 to the winner. Then, it’s off to the first regular season event I-75 Raceway outside of Sweetwater, Tennessee, on April 8.
