RaceDay Safety: Custom K1 Race Gear Suits

Jacob Parris sports a new, custom K1 Race Gear suit from RaceDay Safety during the Red Clay Series season-opener at I-75 Raceway outside of Sweetwater, Tennessee. Parris won it as part of a raffle conducted during the Red Clay Series awards banquet.

“I had the same suit since 2019, so it was time for an update, given I gained a pound or two,” Parris, 19, of Epworth, Georgia, said of his old suit he had since he a teen. “It was nice to have a suit I could race comfortably in.”

RaceDay Safety offers three models of custom suits from K1 Race Gear — SFI 1 Proban, SFI 5 Nomex Standard, and SFI 5 Nomex Premium. There’s one chief difference between the Standard and Premium models. The Standard has a Nomex inner layer and a meta-aramid, para-aramid outer layer. The Premium has both inner and outer layers of Nomex, which allows for more color options, particularly fluorescents.

All three suits feature unlimited embroidery for logos, names, flags, and other graphics. You can place them on one of several templates offered. If you want to opt for a design deviating from a template, you can do so for only $100 more.

Custom K1 Race Gear suits from RaceDay Safety feature an unlimited amount of embroidery included in the price.

Likewise, all the suits are custom-tailored for your frame. Kid or adult, male or female, big or small, RaceDay Safety and K1 Race Gear will build the suit to fit you.

The suits also have several features to increase your comfort. Among them include 360-degree arm gussets, a lower back stretch panel, and a crotch stretch panel. The leg bottoms come in NASCAR-style, boot cut or IndyCar-style cuffed. Add D-ring arm restraints for $50.

The SFI 1 Proban suit retails for $579; the SFI 5 Nomex Standard suit for $1,359; and the SFI 5 Premium suit for $1,459. Custom two-piece suits are also offered.
