Jesse Lowe: Champion Racer to Mountain View Promoter

Jesse Lowe: Champion Racer to Mountain View Promoter

Two years ago, Jesse Lowe won the Dirt Rich TV American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products championship. This year, he took over the promotional reins of Mountain View Raceway. What can a champion racer apply to promoting?

“When you travel with a series, you see a lot of different places and how they do things,” Lowe, of Crossville, Tennessee, said. “I learned a lot. I learned how you want to be treated. Some tracks treat you like a celebrity and I’ve been to some others that treat you like a nobody.”

Lowe applied those lessons to Mountain View this season.

“Just mostly trying to be more thankful,” said Lowe. “I try to make time at some point through the night … to thank everybody for coming. Racing is a lot harder now than it used to be. At the end of the day, it takes all of us.”

Appreciation — that’s the secret sauce behind Lowe’s tenure at the Spring City, Tennessee, dirt track. And that appreciation extends not only to racers, but to staff and to fans as well.

“The world is so busy now, and that leads to a lot of bad moods,” Lowe said. “I want Mountain View to be the place where fans and drivers can get away from the world. Where everybody is appreciated. Where people can come, enjoy with their families, and make memories.”

For those who haven’t been to Mountain View Raceway lately, this Saturday, September 20, is great opportunity to make some memories with friends and family. On that date the Dirt Rich TV American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products rolls into town. Some of the most talented pro late model drivers will compete for $4,444 to win over 44 laps for the Dave Bilbrey Memorial. While Jesse Lowe will not be racing in his old series, you can be rest assured he’ll be thankful to be able to promote the event and for the people behind it.
