Loenbro Motorsports uses Quickcar products on all the Longhorn Modifieds they build. Steve Arpin (pictured), a longtime dirt modified driver who manages Loenbro Motorsports, said why they do so comes down to one key reason.
“They check off all the boxes we’re looking for,” Arpin, 38, originally of Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, said. “They’re purpose-built for our industry of dirt racing.”
With experience from dirt bullrings, to NASCAR, to rallycross, Arpin understands the needs unique to a specific segment of motorsport.
“We race at night in dirt racing, and visibility is not the greatest,” said Arpin. “The tracks are short and the races are short, and you’re always in some sort of battle. In dirt racing, you often don’t have the time to look at your gauges. The Quickcar gauges flash bright lights when there’s a problem. The gauges come preprogrammed with alerts set at the levels we use.”
Quickcar builds its wiring harnesses specific to applications. This helps simplify an area of a race car where many racers struggle with.
“The purpose-built wiring harness keeps things clean and tidy,” Arpin said. “Every car of ours is wired the same, with a standard set of options. So, for troubleshooting, if anybody runs into anything, it’s a simple fix.”
Arpin added one final reason behind the company’s decision to use Quickcar. Not only do their components perform to the high standards required in the sport, but the people behind product do, too.
“In the rare occurrence there is an issue, their customer service has been immediately helpful,” said Arpin. “Their service is second to none.”
