In a dirt late model world increasingly becoming dominated by two brands, Trevor Sise races (and wins) with a chassis from a smaller company — Stinger Racecars. With his brand-new Stinger, he hopes to contend for another championship with the Dirt Rich TV American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products.
“It has its disadvantages at times,” said Sise, of Knoxville, Tennessee. “I don’t have a lot of guys to lean on. I figure out a lot of stuff on my own at times.”
Nevertheless, Sise experiences success. With a 2019 chassis last year, he won back-to-back American All-Star Series races in one weekend, with victories at Beckley Motor Speedway and Willard Speedway.
“We dominated both races,” Sise said. “We were as good as any Longhorn, Rocket, anything there. I take a lot of pride in that.”
This year, Sise not only has a brand-new Stinger, but the brand has a national name campaigning one — Chris Ferguson.
“Chris Ferguson just got one — it just came off the jig right after mine,” said Sise. “I look forward [to where] we can bounce some notes off of him.”
Sise also credits his shock specialist, Matt Logan, of ML Performance, for helping dial in his Stinger. In just four races this year, Trevor Sise already has a win, coming at the end of April at Lake Cumberland Speedway.
“That’s a major confidence booster when you can unload, run four races, and win right off the rip,” Sise said. “I look forward to the rest of the year.”
Trevor Sise especially looks forward to this doubleheader weekend for the Dirt Rich TV American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products.
On Friday, May 9, he heads for the first time, to the recently reopened Golden Mountain Speedway. Sise said he enjoys new tracks, and he does well at them, attributing his success to a “good, balanced car.”
On Saturday, May 10, the series returns to Volunteer Speedway for the first time since 2023. It’s a track where Sise has turned many laps, and he’s looking forward to visiting victory lane there once again.
