The newly released Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Modifieds 2024 schedule caters to the workingman racer. The schedule features a pace that a nine-to-fiver can maintain, and wide assortment of tracks that are within hours of each other.
The 18-race circuit (one race is non-points) travels to 10 tracks among four states. Five of those dirt ovals are new to the series: Beckley Motor Speedway, Lake Cumberland Speedway, Ponderosa Speedway, Richmond Raceway, and Sugar Creek Raceway.
Beckley Motor Speedway in West Virginia hosts the biggest-paying show of the year for the series on June 15, with not only $7,500 to win, but also $450 to just take the green. The track will hold an optional practice the night before on June 14.
Rockcastle Speedway in Kentucky hosts the season finale, which pays $5,000 to win.
Other highlights include racing during the Hall of Fame nights for Smoky Mountain Speedway in Tennessee (Aug. 31) and Wartburg Speedway in Tennessee (Sept. 1).
The year begins on January 27 with a non-points-paying race during the Winter Championships at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee. The points season for the Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Modifieds begins on April 20 at Wartburg Speedway.
