Brian Hoar Thinking "First Busch North Win" At Thunder Road
For Immediate Release TR52-082202
Barre, VT - - Brian Hoar, the 2001 Busch North NASCAR Series Rookie of the Year and a five-time ACT Late Model champion, has entered the True Value 150 at Thunder Road Saturday, August 31 with his first Busch North career win in mind.
"It would be a dream come true, to get that first win in front of the Thunder Road fans," said Hoar. "We've been running a lot better lately. We were second at NHIS and fourth at Adirondack after leading late in the race. I think lapped traffic will be a big factor at Thunder Road," Hoar continued. "Maybe someone will be dominant and take right off from the pole. If it happens, I hope its me, but it's not likely."
Hoar's entry raises the pre-race total to 27, including last year's True Value 150 winner, Dave Dion of Hudson, NH, Kelly Moore of Scarborough, Me, the all-time Busch North win leader, current point leader Matt Kobyluck of Uncasville, CT, Dennis Demers of Shelburne, VT and two-time Busch North champion Brad Leighton and 1999 True Value 150 winner Dale Shaw of Conway, NH.
The ACT Late Models will also be on hand at Thunder Road Saturday, August 31 for a 100-lap ACT Dodge Tour event. The NAPA Flying Tiger Sportsman and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be in action.
Reserved seats ($30) for the Busch North/ACT Dodge Tour doubleheader may be purchased by phone (802) 244-6963 or at the Thunder Road office at 7 Stowe Street in Waterbury, VT. General admission tickets, $25/adult, $5/children, may be purchased at the Thunder Road office and at M&M Beverage in South Barre.
