Ronald McDonald Ruled Ineligible For Thunder Road Trike Race
For Immediate Release TR44-073002
Barre, VT - - Thunder Road officials have ruled Ronald McDonald is ineligible to
participate in Thursday's Tricycle Triathalon. Sixteen pre-registered kids, ages four-and-under
and 5-6, will be a part of the McDonald's Night race card, competing for the chance to
take on their favorite stock car driver in a one-on-one tricycle sprint showdown.
"Although Ronald is a kid at heart and means well, clowns are not eligible for this
event," said Thunder Road Marketing Director Marjorie Fay. "We've offered him the option
of racing in the M&M Beverage Enduro this Sunday, if his schedule allows."
The Late Models, NAPA Flying Tigers, and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will be in
action on McDonald's Night, beginning at 7 pm. Gates open at 5 pm. Thunder Road is
located on Quarry Hill in Barre, one mile from the intersection of Route 14 and Quarry St.
Post time for Sunday's 18th M&M Beverage Enduro and the ACT Tri-State Street
Stock Series 50-lap event is 6 pm. For additional information, call 802-244-6963 or visit
