"ISMA / NEMA Maine Classic August 16 at Oxford Plains Speedway"

OXFORD, ME---The 4th annual ISMA / NEMA Maine Classic will keep it's traditional weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. Oxford owner Bill Ryan and Chuck Handley, President of ISMA, confirmed today that Saturday August 16 would be the scheduled date for the 100 lap Supermodified Classic. Ryan also said that the NEMA Midgets would return this year to the event making it a true "Open Wheel Spectacular".

"The ISMA Supermodifieds have become a tradition at Oxford Plains Speedway and the reconfirming of this race was a priority for us," said Ryan. "And I am also excited that we were able to renew our relationship with NEMA because the Midgets really add to the program."

"We're really excited about returning to Oxford with the new paving project awaiting us," said Handley. "We'll bring the timing system and see if we can shatter the track record of 13.312 seconds that was set by Randy Ritskis in 2000. And having NEMA with us should be a real special event for fans of true opened wheel racing."

Ryan had previously confirmed the 30th annual True Value 250 at Oxford would be Sunday July 13th and that the Oxford Open Series would return. The Oxford Open Series will consist of the New England Dodge Dealers 100 on April 13, the True Value 250 on July 13 and the Oxford 150 on September 21.
