"SEVEN NEW WINNERS IN OPS WEDNESDAY SERIES"

OXFORD, ME--- Seven more new winners made their victory podium debut Wednesday night in the Big Apple Texaco Summer Racing Series at Oxford Plains Speedway A total entry field of 210 car entered the five division program. In the Oxford Outlaw division Jason Gaboury led from start to finish in getting his first ever win. Jim Davis Sr joined his son Jim Jr in a separate venture as runner ups. Third generation racer Eric Drew was third in round one of the three event Outlaw Series. In the middle event Shannon Judd posted his first win with Sherwood Pingree a runner up again. Tom Cook posted a third for his best ever effort. In the final of the three Outlaw Series races Zach Hatch raced his way to the front. Following Davis Jr. was Jeremy Leavitt.

In the 4 cylinder Runnin' Rebel Series Gary Chaisson, Zach Audet, and Conrad Childs posted wins. For Chaisson and Audet is was season firsts. Jesse Childs was the runner up in round one, Mike Ward in the middle event and Mark Childs in round three. Third place finishers on the night were John Short, Adam Pelletier and Tom Bisson.

Tina Follett, the 2000 Ladies Division champion broke the three race win streak of Stephanie Bowie in the Ladies Division 20 lap event that saw 26 starters after two had broken in the late afternoon practice session. They raced side by side for the final four laps as Mrs. Follett made the winning move less than 75 feet from the finish line. 

Kyle Coolidge posted his third Mini Cup win of the year. Danny Vining and Jeff Coolidge rounded out the top three at the finish.

Ryan Payzant scored his first ever Truck Division win of the year. Mark Cyr who led the early going before Andy Leo took over, only to suffer mechanical failure, retook the lead, but then gave it up with one lap to go to Payzant. Cyr stayed second and Jim Short, who won the last time out was third.
