CLAREMONT, NH (June 10, 2002) – NAPA presents a full card of racing this
Saturday night, June 15th, at Claremont Speedway. But, a very exciting
added bonus is on tap for fans. The first of two demolition derbies this
season presented by Hodgdon Brothers will take place at the conclusion
of the last race of the night.

The annual 4 & 6 Cylinder demolition derby is always a highlight of the
speedway’s racing season. Anywhere from 60-100 competitors file entries
for the heart-pounding, car-crunching action that is won by the last car
still running.

Over the past few years, entries have included cars of all makes and
models. Ford Escort Wagons, Chevy Cavaliers, Dodge Shadows, and more
will fill the infield of Claremont Speedway to battle it out
“car-to-car”. The driver with the most nerve and perhaps the best
strategy will walk away with $700. Second place will receive $400 and
third place $250.

Rules for the demolition derby are available on the Claremont Speedway
website under the “Divisions” section. Just log on to
