Claremont Speedway Test & Tune - This Saturday
(Claremont, NH): After a successful car show this past weekend with more
than 60 cars participating, Claremont Speedway will now swing its gates
open for some on-track activity. A test and tune session is set for
Saturday, April 20th. Teams from 6 divisions will have four hours to
dial in their cars. The first car will take to the track at Noon.
Teams are encouraged to arrive early so that their cars can go through
Safety Inspection, which will be held from 10AM - Noon. Fans are
encouraged to come out to the track to see the cars and stars, plus the
many facility improvements for the upcoming season. Grandstand admission
for the day is FREE.
The following week, April 27th, Claremont Speedway will kick off its
56th season as Fleury's Auto Sales & Small Engine presents a full night
of racing excitement. Fleury's also was the host of this past weekend's
car show and rewarded three drivers with a combined total of more than
$1800 in cash after raffling off a car. Fleury's also gave away a number
of racing tires and several $50.00 gift certificates of racing fuel to
the show entrants.
Best of Show Awards at the car show were distributed as follows:
Lightning Stocks - Joe Rogers, Mini Stocks - Steve Ferland, Street Stock
- Chris Bergeron, Late Models - Jamie Lanou, Pro Stock - Mike Brousseau,
and Modifieds - Dwight Jarvis.
