Airborne Subway 100: Forty-Two Entries and Counting

Plattsburgh, NY - - Forty-two NAPA Flying Tigers have entered this Saturday's Subway 100 at Airborne Raceway. Airborne's first-ever 100-lap Flying Tiger contest will start 30 cars and pay $1,200-to-win. It is the opening event of the four-race, four-track Subway Grand Slam Series.

Mike Terry of Grand Isle, VT and Joe Becker of Jeffersonville, VT, each with a 2002 victory, and defending track champion Jerry Winch of Plattsburgh, headline the list of Airborne regulars expected. Fourteen of the 42 entrants have at least one Airborne career win.

Following the Airborne event, the Subway Grand Slam Series moves to Canaan USA Speedway in Canaan, NH Sunday, June 23.

Airborne's Street Stock and Renegade divisions will also be in action Saturday night. Street Stock Jeff Young of Swanton, VT goes after his third straight checkers, as will Renegade Champion Greg Wolcott of Georgia, VT.

The Subway 100 will air live at 8:30 pm on the Radio Vermont Network - WDEV AM 550, FM 96.1; WKDR AM 1390; WLFE FM 102.3

Airborne Raceway is located just off Route 22 in Plattsburg, one mile south of I-87 exit 36. Post time is 7 pm. Gates open at 5 pm. Admission is $10/Adults, $3/Children (6-12) and $20/Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children). Children under 6 admitted free.
