Mike Terry Takes Airborne Flying Tiger Opener

For Immediate Release AR17-051302

Plattsburgh, NY - - Mike Terry, the 2001 Airborne NAPA Flying Tiger Rookie of the Year, dispelled any notions of a sophomore jinx with an opening night victory in the Ehler's RV Trophy Dash. Terry started ninth, took the lead after a lap 10 restart brought out by a four-car collision into the fourth turn fence, and held off the late charge of Craig Bushey for his third career win.

Bushey slipped underneath Jamy Begor for second with six laps remaining. Begor, Doug Murphy and Jay Webb completed the top five.

Jeff Young of Swanton won the Street Stock feature handily, 10 car lengths ahead of Terry Beshaw and Curt LaGrave. Jamie Rabideau and Jim Bushey, inches apart, were fourth and fifth.

Defending champion Greg Wolcott of Georgia won the Renegade main after taking the lead from runner-up Dale Terry in heavy lapped traffic. Lee Ryea, Dan Turner and Rich Turner were next in line.

The Flying Tigers, Streets and Renegades will be back in action next Saturday night. Post time 7 pm. For further schedule and ticket information, visit or call the ACT office at 802-244-6963.
