May 26, 2002 Memorial Day Classic

Rich Lowery (8) and Eric Chase (36) were leading the pack into the first turn in their heat race but they got together and that ruined everything. It was not the last time these two would tangle this day.

A closer view of after everything settled down. One can only imagine what the drivers are saying to each other. :-)

Jamie Rabideau takes the checkers for the win in his heat race. It was the first of two times and car took first. Way to go guys!!! Made for a VERY happy day for me.

Outside Groove was even more thrilled when Justin St. Louis took the feature win and did so in a handy fashion. He led by a country mile until a yellow with 2 laps to go came. He then had to earn this win with the green/white/checkers left. Maybe I should get this picture framed for Justin, eh? GOOD JOB JUSTIN!! Thanks for mentioning us in Victory Lane and keep up the good work!

Dave Simpson (51) and Jimmy Winters (30) tangle up in turns 3 & 4. Herb Drugg was also involved with this as he had to go over the bank to miss them. He continued on but did not make the big show yet again.
