Canadian Point Leader Laperle Eyes ACT Swing into Airborne

For Immediate Release ACT27-050602

Plattsburgh, NY - - After two strong showings at tracks where he's struggled in the past, ACT Dodge point leader Patrick Laperle is looking forward to this Saturday's (May 11) 27th Ehler's RV Spring Green 100 at Airborne international Raceway. Prior to his victory in the 2002 Tour opener at Star Speedway, the 26 year-old Quebec driver's two previous ACT wins had come at the Plattsburgh, NY half-mile.

"I am comfortable on the bigger tracks, especially at Airborne, where I have the most seat time," says Laperle. "I like Airborne and it's important for me to do well there."

Another racer who's off to a good start on the 16-race Late Model tour is Middlebury's Todd Stone. Like Laperle, Stone's first career ACT win came at Airborne, in last year's Spring Green.

Stone added his name to a storied list of previous Spring Green winners that includes, Beaver Dragon, Jean-Paul Cabana, Kevin Lepage, Junior Hanley, Brad Leighton, Phil Scott and Brian Hoar.

Post time Saturday is 7 pm. Gates open at 3 pm. Airborne Raceway is located one mile south of I-87 exit 36, just off Route 22. For further schedule and ticket information, call (802) 244-6963 or log onto www.acttour.com
